· ORDINANCE NO. 1801 By Mr. Hart <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE to prohibit ~he parking of automobiles and other vehicles <br />on sidewalks, lawn strips or the space between the sidewalk and curb, <br />and declaring an emergency, <br /> <br />~[EREAS, the parking of automobiled and other vehicles on the ~de- <br />walks, lawn strips or the space between the sidewalk and the curb <br />on any public highway in the City of Lakewood is dangerous to the <br />public, and for the preservation of'the public property and safety <br />should be prohibited immediately, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Lakewcod, State of Ohio, <br />two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />That the parking or standing Of any automobile or ether <br /> <br />vehicle on the sidewalk, lawn strip or the space between the sidewalk <br />and curb or any public highway in the City of Lakewood is hereby <br />prohibited; that any person who violates the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction <br />thereof shall be fined not to exceed $10O. 00 and the costs of pros- <br />ecution. <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, andshall be <br />in full force and effect upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: March 20th, 1922 <br /> <br />L.
