BE IT ORDAIh~D by the Council of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, three-fourths of all members thereof concurring~ ~i~ ~il~h~ it i? hereby determined to proceed with the improve- enue from Owego Court to Riverside Road by laying water main therein or'six inch cast iron pipe with necewsary valves, hydrants, and other appurtenances incidental thereto. in accordance with Resolution No.~1999 passed April ~, 1922 and in aceordance with Plans, ~specificatf0ne~ estimstes and~profiles here- tofore approved and now on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.~ Section 2~ That all claims for d~mages resulting from said improve- ment ~shall be judicially inquired into after the completion thereof, and that the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract for s~id improvement in the manner provided ~y law, which improvement, in accordance with Article 15, Section 15 of the Charter'has been estimated by the Director of Public Works to have a life of 20 years. Section ~: That for the purpose o~~ paying the cost and expense of said improvement there is hereby levied ~nd assessed a special tax upon the several lots and parcels of l~nd designated in and in accordance with Estimated Assessment No. 49? as made for that purpose by the Director of Finance and recommended to this Council by the Board of Revision 0f Assessments, ~ Said estims~ted assessment was made on the basis of special benefits conferred by Said improvement' on the several parcels of land therein described and the s~me is herein confirmed, adopted and approved, ~ Section 4:' That the Owners of the several l~ts or parcels of land in- cluded in said assessment shall pay the amounts from them severally due aS shown by Column No. ~ of said Estin~,te~ ASsessment No.497 to the CitY Treasurer on or before thirty days from ~he date of the passage of this ordinence, 'at their option, and in default thereof se~id special assessment With interest at the rate of~ per centum per annum, upon deferred payments, Shall be payable to the CoUnty Treasurer in ~ annual installments with the regular taxes of 1~22 to 1926 botL inclusive.
