ORDINANCE NO. 19~0 By Mr. Gormsen <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE authorizing contract with the Ci~ cf West Park <br />regarding Construction of 8ewer main in Bores Road, and payment <br />c~ the cost thereof. <br /> <br />~, by resolution No, X699 adopted by this Council ~eptember <br />3, 1918, the construction of a sewer main in Bores Road from the <br />center of Highland Avenue to Station ~23 was a~thorized and a <br />method of financing the improvement approved, and <br /> <br />WIE~EAS; said method of financing said sewer, which was for the <br />~cint use of abutting property in the City of Lakeweod and the <br />Village of West Park, provided for the payment of a portion of the <br />Cost and expense by the abutting property owners and by the City cf <br />Lmkew$od and the Village cf West Park, and <br /> <br />~ItFP~AS, the Village of West Park by resolution No. 1209 adopted' <br />September ~7, 1518, approved plans and authorized an agreement <br />with the Oity of Lakewood for the construction of maid sewer main <br />in a portion of Berea Road, and approved the method for finaacing <br />Said improvement, ~nd <br /> <br />V~EREAS, it WaS necessary that Said improvement be made !mmed!atel~ <br />as ~ nv~ber of manufacturing plants, named in said resolutions, were <br />then engaged in the manufacture of war muniti0ns, and said sewer main <br />was requi~d for their use at the earliest possible date, and <br /> <br />~REA~, the City of Lakewood in pursuance Of said resolutions did <br />proceed with and complete the construction of said sewer at a total <br />cost of $~6,~76.20, and secured from the abutting property Owners <br />of Lakewocd as their share of the cost and expense of such con- <br />struotion the sum of $1~,12~.00 and has issued bonds by ~rdinance <br />N0. 13~2 adopted on the 2nd day of February, 1919, for the sum of <br />$25,8~.00 as Ciey's Portion Improvement ~onds, and <br /> <br />W~AS, the reasonable proportion of the cOSt and expense of the <br />construction of said sewer chargeable to the ~ity of West Park is <br />$10,~! 0.X6, which sum Shoul~ be paid by the 0ity of West Park to <br />the City of Lakewood, now, .~herefore, <br /> <br /> <br />
