0RD~NANCE'N0. 3421 B~ Mr. Myers <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE regulating the setting of fire <br />to various substances and ' bonfires in the City of <br />Lskewood and repealing Ordinanee No. 1411 passed <br />April ?th 1919. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen from the necessity of <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property and safety, <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />cf Lakewood of the State of Ohio:- <br /> <br />Section 1. No person within the City shall set on <br />fire any hay, straw, grass, leaves, chips, shavings, <br />barrels or other combustible substance or make any <br />bq~fire in any street, lane, alley or public grounds <br />c~any lot without a written permission from the Chief <br />cf the aivision of Fire. Any person violating the <br />provisions of this o~linance, upon convicttm t~reof, <br />shall be fined not to exceed ~ten ~-('$10.00) · <br />dollars and cost of prosecution. <br /> <br />Section 2. ~hat ordinance No. 1411 passed April 7th <br />1919 entitled "an ordinance ~o regulate the setting <br />of fire to various substances and bonfires in the City <br />of Lakewood, and providing a penalty for violation" be <br />and the same is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3. As stated in the preamble this ordinance <br />is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall <br />take effect and be in f~ce immediat~y upon its <br />adoption and approval. <br /> <br />Adc~ ed: September. 11, 1933 <br /> <br />Morris H.
