ORDIEANCE NO. 3506 BY ~ir. Dazm~statter AN EMERGENCY 0RDINA~JCE authorizing the Mayor as Director of Public Works to proceed with certain public improvements. V~ER~AS, the Federal..Emergenoy Relief Administration of the Federal Government has made provision for furnishing labor and part of the material for public works Projects, and ~RFAS, the COuncil of the City of Lakewood at a meeting September 4th, 1934, by motion approved these improvements, and, ~.~EREAS, the Federal Emergency Relief Administration has requested a certified copy of an ordinance approving these projects including an estimated amount of the expense to the City of Lakewood and appropriat- ing the amounts to be expended on the respective improvements, and, ~R?~S, ~n emergency exists for the immediate preservatio~ of the public peace, property, health and safety in that it is necessary to ~roceed with the improvements already started, THEREFORE BE IT 0RDAI~D by the Council of the City of Lakewood, State Of ~hio, two-thirds of all members thereof concurring:- Section 1, That the ~layor as Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized to proceed with the following improvement and the sum necessary for the purchase of material and the same is hereby appro- priated for said improvement: Jmdenmng of Franklin BoUlevard in the south side between Lakewood and Winchester Avenues. $3,028.18 appropriated from the Auto License Tax Fund. Section 2. As stated in the preamble, this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
