ORDINANCE NO~ 3523 BY Mro Fahrenbach AM ORDINANCE to amend Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3414 entitled "An Ordinance creating a boxing and wrestling commission of three members to be appointed by the Mayor to serve without compensation, and m~thorizing the in- vestigation and licensing of places where boxers and wrestlers are trained. ~EREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL'OF THE CITY OF IAKE~OOD, STATE OF OHIO. Section 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3414 entitled "An ordi- nance creating a boxing and wrestling commission of three members to be ap- pointed by the Mayor to serve without compensation, and authorizing the in- vestigation and licensing of places where boxers and wrestlers are trained" be and the same hereby is amended to read, as follows: Section 4. Grantees of permits for boxing and wrestling ex- hibitions shall pay to the director of finance of the City of l~kewood an amount equal to six per cent of the gross receipts of the boxing and wrestling exhibitions held under such permit, provided, however, that such fees shall not be required in cases of boxing or wrestling exhibitions given in a theater as a regular part of any theater program, or any boxing or wrestling exhibition by a Lakewood organization the proceeds of which are to be used for charitable purposes, which purposes shall be subject to the approval of the boxing commission~ That said section 4 of Ordinance No. 3414 be and it is hereby repealed. Section 2e This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and shall be in full force and effect upon its passage by a vete of two-thirds of the members of the council and its approval by the mayor.
