O]~INA~C~ NO. 36V9 <br /> <br />~Y Mr. Spanur <br /> <br /> An emergency ordinance to authorize the settlement of the claim of <br />Lorene l[ason, 45, for injuries received and damag~ to car, in the sum of <br />one hundred fifty dollars <br /> <br /> ·hereas, on November 2, 19~6, an accident occurred about 12~ 55 <br />By reason of the condition of the pavement on Detroit Avenue, the east~ <br />bound Ford sedan of Lorene Mason collided with.a west bound street <br />causing injury to said Lorene~ason and damage to the car! and <br /> <br /> ~hereas, an emergency exists to provide for the daily operation <br />municipal department. <br /> <br /> NOT,THEREFORE, SE IT 0RDAXNEDBYTEECOUNOIL OFT HE CITY 0FLAKEW00D, <br />0HI0, two-thirds of all members thereof concurring~ <br /> <br /> Section 1~ ~hat the director of finance Be and he is hereby authorized <br />to settle the claim ofLorene lgason in the cum'of one hundred fifty dollars <br />($150) for injuries received and damage to car, by reason of the condition <br />of the pavement on Detroit' AvenFe, whereby her eastbound Ford sedan collid- <br />4d with a west bound street car. <br /> <br /> The director of finance is hereby authorized to pay said sum of one <br />hundred fifty dollars ($150) from the general fund, upon receipt of release <br />duly executed by said Lorene Mason and her husband, releasing and fulI~ <br />discharging the city of Lakewood from any and all claims by reason of said <br />accident, duly approved by the director of law. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
