ORDINANCE NO. 3781 BY ~r. Fair grieve AN E~UERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Director of Finance to pay to Mr. K. J. Holland, 1276 Fry Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, the sum of Three Dollars and Sixty-One Cents ~$3.61) in full settlement of his claim against the City of akeWood for damages to the main front sprmng of his auto- mobile caused while driving north on Fry avenue, September 12th 1938; his car striking a defective condition in the pavement. WHEP~A~, at a meeting of Co~u~cil November 21st 1938, action was taken to allow ~. K. J. Holland, Three Dollars and Sixty-One Cents ($3.61~ for this claim; and ~HEA~, an emergency exists to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department arising out of the necessity of settling said claim promptly; now THEREFORE, BE IT OEDAINEDBY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO, two-thirds of all members thereof concurring: Section 1. That the Director of Finance be~ and he is hereby authorized to pay to Mr. K. J. Holland, 1276 Fry Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, the sum of Three Dollars .and Sixty- One Cents ($3.61) in full settlement of his claim agamnst the City of Lakewood for d~mages to the main front spring of his automobile caused w~ile driving north on Fry Avenue, September 12th 19~8; his car striking a defective condition in the pavement, upon receipt of satisfactory release signed by said ~r. K. J. Holland, releasing the City of Lakewood from any and all further liabilities in connection therewith. Section 2. ~hat the amount set forth in Section 1 hereof be paid from the General Fund 1-M (Damages paid by City). Section 3. As stated in the preamble this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval by the May~. Adopted: ~i.LO 5'-1938 President Clerk
