ButterROrth for damages causedby defective gidewalt~. <br /> WHEREAS, on or about April 12, 1940, about 8:30 o~clock p.m. ~il- <br /> li.am H. Butter~rorth was injured by fall on the sidewalk caused by stepping <br /> into a hole located at 11853 Lake Avenue and incurred expenses by reason <br /> thereof, and <br /> an emergency exists to provide Yor the usual daily opera- <br /> tion of a Dsuucipal Department arising out of the necessity of settling <br /> said claim promptly and avoiding litigation on the part of the City, noa, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF LAICEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> OHIOs <br /> <br /> - SECTION is That the Director of Finance be, anti he is hereby, <br /> authorized to p$y William H. Buttexavorth the sum of One Hundred <br /> Dollars ($100.00) from the General Fund Damages Paid by the <br /> City in full settlement of his claim against the City of Lake- <br /> wood for injuries to person and expenses caused by defective <br /> .sidewalk on or about April 12, 1940,. upon receipt of setisfactory <br /> release signed by said William H.
