Each separate means of app'~,~tion shall apply a brake or brakes <br /> effectively and in such manner that each brake shall auf`fica to stog the <br /> vehicle within a distance of 30 feet at a speed of twenty miles per hour. <br /> All brakes so required shall be maintained in good order and repair and the <br /> Chief of Police or say member of the Division of Police may at arty time <br /> inspect or cause an inspection to be made of the brakes oa any motor vehicle <br /> on s street or highway within the City of Lakewood and may, if such brakes <br /> do net conform with the provisions of this section, require the driver <br /> thereof to cause said brakes to be repaired before operating said vehicle <br /> on eny street ar highway." <br /> <br />
