ASll - BY~ Mr. Vlokery <br /> <br /> AN EMERGF~NCY 0HDINANCE creating positions and fixing salaries cf <br />the Civil Service Commission, beginning March 1, 1983 and repealing 0r- <br />dinance No. 4684, adopted May 15, 1980 and ~ 1 other ordinances or <br />parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists in that it is deemed necessary by <br />this Council in the interest of public services, welfare and safety that <br />the compensation of employes be fixed effective March 1, 1952, and that <br />this ordinance provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCILOP THE CITY OF IAEEW00D, STATE OF <br />CHI0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Civil Service Commission shall be composed <br />ef three Cow~,issioners and one Secretary, who shall ~eceive the follow- <br />ing salaries: <br /> <br />(a) S Commissioners <br /> $1,200.00 each per annum <br />(b) 1 Secretary <br /> $1,800.00 per annum <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the salaries herein fixed shall be peyable in <br />equal monthly installments. <br /> <br /> Section $. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives ~e affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force March 1, lgSg, <br />and Ordinance No. 4684, adopted May 15, lgSO, and all other ordinances <br />or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shall be and are hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />February 29, 1952 <br /> <br />Wm.
