ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />3-58 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Gottermeyer, Lawther, <br />Ward, Fairgrieve, <br />Gaydos. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing membership in the American <br />Municipal Association, and authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Finance to pay the costs of such membership. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The American Municipal Association provides a <br />program for the discussion and solution cf problems common to the <br />operations of municipalities, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Much benefit may be derived by the officers of <br />the City of Lakewood as a result cf such membership, now, there- <br />fore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That membership of the City of Lakewood in the <br />American Municipal Association is hereby determined to be in the <br />public interests, and especially the interests of the citizens of <br />Lakewood and such membership is hereby authorized. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director cf Finance is hereby auth- <br />orized and directed to pay the sum of two hundred dollars, for <br />the year beginning December 1, 1957 and ending November 30, 1958, <br />as costs of membership of the City of Lakewood in the American <br />Municipal Association; that such payment be charged to the General <br />Fund - Contingencies° <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force from and after its adoption at the earliest period al- <br />lowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted:. January 20, 1~8 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
