Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Lawther, <br /> Ward, Chockley. <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing settlement of the claim of <br />May E. Jenkins ow. Mae E. Ernst in the total amount of six hundred <br />dollars, arising out of a fall in the municipal parking lot located <br />adjacent to the United States Post Office on Warren Road, on December <br />13, 19.5.5. <br />WHEREAS, This ordinance constituteS an emergency in that it <br />may save the city from further expense and expensive litigation in <br />that it provides for the immediate settlement of said claim, and in <br />that it provides for the usual operation o.f a municipal department, <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF 'tHE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That settlement of the claim of May E. Jenkins <br />ow. Mae E. Ernst in the amount of six hundred dollars is hereby or- <br />dered and authorized, conditioned upon the execution and delivery by <br />May E. Jenkins ow. Mae E. Ernst of a full release in favor of the <br />City of Lakewood, duly approved by the director of law. <br />Section 2. That the director of finance be and he is hereby <br />authorized to pay the sum of six hundred dollars upon delivery to the <br />director of finance of the foregoing release duly executed and ap- <br />proved, and to charge the same to the General Fund - Damages Paid by <br />the City. <br />Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the mayor. <br />Adopted: March 3. 1958 Thomas C.
