ORDINANCE NO. 25-58 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Lawther, Ward~ <br />Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br />Fairgrieve, Geydos, <br />Gottermeyer. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the payment of claims for <br />services rendered in connection with an emergency following the dis- <br />aster on May 12, 1956. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Certain supervisory employees were called upon to <br />perform extra-ordinary services following the May 12, 1956 disaster, <br />amd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Such supervisory employees were paid a fixed annmal <br />salary, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Commcil wishes torecognize the payment for the <br />additional hours that were put in by such supervisory employees in <br />the service of this city, in the form of a moral claim, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This council considers the disposition of this matter <br />an emergency in that it is necessary for the ~mmediate preservation <br />of the public peace, property, health or safety, and that it provides <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, there <br /> . <br />fore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That the following employees be paid the sum <br />set opposite their names, in full for all claim for overtime work <br />done by them as a resmlt of the May 12, 1956 disaster: <br /> <br />Paul Kolesar <br />Andrew Dzurik <br />Mark Stringer <br />Lee Shakelton <br />Jonas Navran <br />Adam Sohek <br /> <br />$ 751.25 <br /> 707.16 <br /> 371.56 <br /> -305.97 <br /> 119.28 <br /> 561.72 <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />directed to pay the persons aforesaid the amounts listed opposite <br />their names, and charge the payment thereof to General Fund- Contin <br />gent. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effest and be in force ~mmediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:.
