ORDINANCE N0o 25-58 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Ward, Chocktey, <br />Fahrenbach, Fairgrieve, <br />Gaydos, Gottermeyer, <br />Lawther. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE approving certain change orders in con- <br />nection with the construction of a swimming pool and service building <br />in Madison Park. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has heretofore authorized the Mayor, as <br />Director of Public Works, to enter into an agreement with Hoelzl <br />Martini Construction Company for the construction of a swimming pool <br />and service building in Madison Park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Under the terms of such agreement, there were certain <br />provisions applicable to change orders, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council desires to take advantage of certain change <br />orders provided in such agreement, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The items contained in such change order are neces- <br />sary for the completion of said swimming pool and service building, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The completion of said swimming pool and service <br />building is desirable at the earliest possible time, but in any <br />event prior to the opening of the 1958 s,mmer season, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The adoption of this ordinance at the earliest poss- <br /> ible time is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, <br /> property, health or safety, and that it provides for the usual daily <br /> operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the following items be added to said contract <br /> heretofore entered into by the City with the Hoelzl Martini Construc- <br /> tion Company, with reference to the constrmction of a swimming pool <br /> and service building at Madison Park, at the cost set opposite such <br /> <br />addition: <br /> <br />1. Wire baskets amd racks - <br />2. Chain link fence - <br />3- Yard light (original alternate $-1)- <br />$. Exterior public address system (origina~ <br /> alternate <br />5. Pool painting - ~aterial to be "Ramuc" - <br /> supplied by Inertol Co. and applied ac- <br /> cording to their specifications <br />6. Shower and dressing room curtains <br /> <br />$ ~,265.00 <br /> 2,675.00 <br /> 3,300.00 <br /> <br />2,000.00 <br />1,970.00 <br /> <br /> 275.0~ <br />$1 , 85.oo <br /> <br />and that the following item be deducted: <br /> <br /> Elimination of meter vault - at a cost of - $ j:,300.O0 <br /> <br /> That the net additional cost of said change orders is in the <br />amount of $1&,185.00. <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, is <br />hereby auth~orized and directed to approve the said change order° <br /> <br /> <br />
