Lawther, Ward, <br /> Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br /> GaYdOS, Gottermeyer. <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANgE authorizing employment of a fiscal agent in <br />connection with the financmng of off-street parking facilities at the <br />Highland Avenue area. <br /> WHEREAS, An emergency exists in that traffic congestion on the <br />streets and highways of the Oity of Lakewood has reached such a point <br />as to require, in the judgment of Council, the establishment, construc- <br />tion and operation of municipal off-street parking facilities for motor <br />vehicles and the enactment of this ordinance is necessary for the im- <br />mediate preservation of the public safety, now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, be and <br />he is hereby authorized to engage the Wm. J. Mericka & Co., Inc. as a <br />fiscal agent Qr financial consultant in connection with the sale of <br />-additional bonds" under Ordinance No. 72-53, the proceeds of which <br />shall be used to acquire land and to improve it for off-street parking <br />facilities in the Highland Avenue area, and that the fees of such con- <br />sultant shall be paid out of the proceeds of the sale of such bonds. <br /> Section 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided <br /> it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected <br /> to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br /> adoption andapproval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: August 8., 1958 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
