Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br /> Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br /> Gottermeyer, Lawther. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 525.08 of the Business Regulation <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, relative to <br />license fees for billiard rooms and bowling alleys. <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 525.08 of the Business Regulation Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading: <br /> <br />"525.08 License fee; exceptmons, expiration of license <br /> <br />Every person, society, club, firm or corporation to whom a license <br />is granted for the operation of a billiard room shall pay an annual <br />fee therefor in the sum of five dollars ($5.00) for the first <br />table, and fifty cents (50¢) for each additional table, and every <br />person, society, club, firm or corporation to whom a license is <br />granted for operating $ bowling alley shall pay an annual fee <br />of five dollars ($5.00) for the first alley and fifty cents <br />($.50) for each additional alley, provided, however, that where <br />applicant is a society er club not organized for profit, no li- <br />cense fee shall be charged for the use of any table or tables, <br />or alley~ All monies received by way of license fees shall be <br />paid into the General Fund of the City. <br /> <br />Any license granted hereunder shall be for the remainder of the <br />calendar year in which it is granted, unless sooner revoked as <br />provided by this chapter, shall expire at midnight on the 31st <br />day of December of each year, except that any license granted <br />hereunder prior to December 31, 1941, shall be granted to expire <br />December 31, 1952, and any operator of a billiard room or bowling <br />alley now operating under any license heretofore granted to ex- <br />pire prior to December 31, 1942 shall be given credit, pro-rata, <br />for the license fees paid to the City on any now existing and <br />unexpired license. <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"525.08 License fee; exceptions; expiration of license. <br /> <br />Every person, society, club, firm or corporation to whom a license <br />is granted for the operation of a billiard room shall pay an an- <br />nual fee therefor in the sum oftten dollars ($10.00) for the first <br />table, and one dollar ($1.00) for each additional table, every <br />person, society, club, firm or corporation to whom a license is <br />granted for operating a bowlin~ alley shall pay an annua%_fee 9f <br />ten dollars ($10.00) for the fmrst alley and one dollar ($1.00) <br />for each additional alley, provided, however, that where appli- <br />cant is a society or club not organized for profit, no license <br />fee shall be charged for the use of any table or tables, or <br />alley. All monies received by way of license fees shall be paid <br />into the General Fund of the City. <br /> <br />Any license granted hereunder shall be for the remainder of the <br />calendar year in which it is granted, unless sooner revoked as <br />provided by this chapter. <br /> <br /> <br />
