Iiiill in the total amount of one thousand dollars, arising <br />out of a fall in front of barber shop premises known as 1390 Cook <br />Avenue, L.akewood, @hio, on or about August 19, 1958. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency in that it <br />may save the City from further expense and possible litigation in that <br />it provides for the immediate settlement of said claim, and in that <br />it provides for the usual operation of a municipal department, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />STATE <br /> <br />BE IT ®RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOE, <br />ØF 01fllO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That settlement of the claim of William T. Hill <br />in the amount of one thousand dollars is hereby ordered and autherized, <br />conditioned upon the execution and delivery by William T. Hill of a <br />full release in favor of the City of Lakewood, duly approved by the <br />Director of L.aw. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby <br />authorized to pay the sum of one thousand dollars upon delivery to <br />the Director of Finance of the foregoing release duly executed and <br />approved, and to charge the same to the General Fund - Damages Paid <br />by the City. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two~thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Jøhn Saydo s .
