Iiiill in the total amount of one thousand dollars, arising out of a fall in front of barber shop premises known as 1390 Cook Avenue, L.akewood, @hio, on or about August 19, 1958. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency in that it may save the City from further expense and possible litigation in that it provides for the immediate settlement of said claim, and in that it provides for the usual operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, STATE BE IT ®RDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOE, ØF 01fllO: Section 1. That settlement of the claim of William T. Hill in the amount of one thousand dollars is hereby ordered and autherized, conditioned upon the execution and delivery by William T. Hill of a full release in favor of the City of Lakewood, duly approved by the Director of L.aw. Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to pay the sum of one thousand dollars upon delivery to the Director of Finance of the foregoing release duly executed and approved, and to charge the same to the General Fund - Damages Paid by the City. Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two~thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
