Bunts Road by means of a contract. <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Article V. Section 3 of the Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood requires that Council shall by CilrdiJI.ance determine whether <br />public im:p¡rovements shall be mafJÌe by clirect em:p¡loymemt of labor and <br />the :p¡urchase of the necessary supplies and material. or by contract. <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Wpon consideration thereof. this Council determines <br />it in the interests of the City of Lakewood to resurface Madison <br />Avenue between West 117th Street and Riverside Drive. and Ehmts Road <br />between Lakew@od Heights Boulevard and Detroit Avenue. by contract <br />rather than by direct employment of labor and the purchase of the <br />neoessary supplies and material. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. This Council considers it in the interests of the <br />City of LakeW00d that theoontract be entered into at the earliest <br />possible time and designates this ordinance as necessary for the <br />immediate preservation of the publio peace. property. nealth or <br />safety. and that it provides for tne usual daily operation ef a <br />municipal department. now. tnerefore. <br /> <br />IT ORDAINED BY THE COWNCIL @F THE CITY ØF LAKEW@@D. <br /> <br />STATE <br /> <br />BE <br /> <br />pur- <br /> <br />OF OHÌO: <br /> <br />Section 1.
