e) Required yards - the required yards shall be the horizontal distance between parallel walls of a building or between a wall and a lot line. 2. Sz~edule of Yard Requirements - The yards between a building and a side lot line and the yards between buildings on the same lot across an open yard or court shall be not less than set forth in the following schedule: MINIM~UM WIDTH OF Y~RDS - CLASS lb D!STRICT~ Between a main wall facing another main wall if ove~r- lap is less than 50 feet. Between a main wall facing a secondary wall if overlap is less than 50 feet. Between a secondary wall fac- lng another secondary wall, or between corners of the buildings in other secondary to secondary wall relation- ships, if the overlap is less th~n 50 feet. 35 feet plus 0.5 times height of highest build- ingo 30 feet plus 0.4 times height of highest build- lng. 12 feet plus 0.4 times height of highest ~ilding, or 12 feet Plus 0.3 times height if opposing walls are blank surfaces. For buildings over 10 stories in height, the minimum width of yards shall be modified as follows: each re- quired dimension set forth in the above schedule shall be increased at least 5 feet for each story that the building exceeds l0 stories° If parallel walls, or walls obliquely aligned within 45 degrees of parallel, overlap more than 50 feet, the minimum distances set forth in the above schedule shall be increased not less than O.15 times the number of feet the walls overlap more than 50 feet. If walls are ob- liquely.aligned, the required distance shall be measured perpendmcularly from one of the walls to a point half way between the ends of the other walls in no case, however, shall the near end of the other wall be closer than l0 feet less than the required distance. The minimum width of a yard between any wall and a side lot line shall be not less than one-half of the width of yard required between that wall and an identical wall parallel to and fully overlapping it. If the overlap exceeds 50 feet, the minimum distance shall be increased no less than 0.07 times the number of feet of overlap more than 50 feet. If the wall is aligned obliquely.to the property line and within 45 degrees parallel to mt, the required distance Shall be measured perpendicularly from the property line to a.point half way between the ends of the building wall~ mn no case, however, shall the near end come closer to the lot line than 8 feet. 3. Use and Design of Yard? - The required yards, as set forth in the above subsectmon, shall be fully developed with lawns or other landscape planting except where used for pedestrian walks, terraces, recreational areas, parking areas or driveways. Such accessory uses and buildings shall be located not less than the minimum distances set forth in the following schedule:
