<br /> AN E~ERGENCY ORDINAN~ approving certain cha~ge orders in con-
<br />nectie~n with the construction of the municipal departments and adminis-
<br />tration Building.
<br />
<br /> ~EREAS, Council has heretofore authorized the Mayor as Director
<br />of Public Works, to enter into an agreement with Brown Construction
<br />Company for the construction of a municipal departments and administra-
<br />tion Building, and
<br />
<br /> k~EREAS, Under the terms of such agreement, there were certain
<br />provisions applicable to change orders, and
<br />
<br /> ~REAS, Council desires to take advantage of certain change
<br />orders provided in such agreement, and
<br />
<br /> ~REAS' The completion of said municipal departments and admin-
<br />istration B~lding is desirable at the earliest possible time, and
<br />
<br /> EEREAS, The adoption of this ordinance at the earliest possible
<br />time is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, property,
<br />health or safety, and that it provides for the usual daily operation
<br />efa municipal department, now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY ~ CO~CIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE
<br />OF OHIO:

<br /> Section 1. That items described in Bulletin No. 3, prepared by
<br />Garfield, Harris, Schafer, Flynn &Williams, Architects, be added to
<br />the contract hereinbefore entered into By the city with the Brown Con-
<br />struction Company, with reference to the construction of a municipal
<br />departments and administration b~lding at 12650 DetroitAvenue,
<br />Lakewood, Ohio and pha~ the net cost ef the change orders contained in
<br />said Bulletin No. 3 zs zn the amo~t
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That i~ems described in Bulletin No. &, prepared
<br />byGarfield, Harris, Schafer, Flynn & Willimms, Architects, Be added to
<br />the contract hereinbefore entered into by the city with the B~own Con-
<br />struction Company, with reference to the construction of a municipal
<br />departments and administration building at 12650 Detroit Avenue,
<br />Lakewoed, Ohio and that the net cost of the change ovders contained
<br />in said Bulletin Ne. ~ amounts to an addition ef $2,582.&0.
<br />
<br /> Section ~. That combining Etetins 3 and 4 there is a total
<br />net addition of $6,208.40.
<br />
<br /> Section $. That the Mayor, as Director of Public Works, is
<br />hereby authorized and directed to approve said change orders.
<br />
<br /> Section 5- That this ordinance is hereby declared te Be an
<br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and
<br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members
<br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately
<br />upon its adoption and approval by the N~yor.
