ORDINANCE NO. 69-59 BY: Messrs. <br /> <br />Chockley, Fahrenbach, <br />Fairgrieve, Gaydos, <br />Gott ermeyer, Lawther, <br />WARD o <br /> <br /> AN EMER~NGY ORDINANCE authorizing the checkoff of labor or- <br />ganization dues on wages of employees ef the City of Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> ~MEREAS, This ordinance constitutes au emergency in that it <br />provides for the usual daily operation of a m~icipal department, <br />new, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CO~CIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF 0HIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Upon receipt of written authorization from an <br />employee of the City of Lakeweed, the Director of Finance is directed <br />to checkoff en the earnimgs of the employee the amomnt indicated on <br />such authorization~ for the payment of dues to employee's labor <br />organization. The authorization shall be revocable by written notice <br />upon the will of the employee. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The Director of Finance shall transmit the sum <br />so collected, once each month, te the labor orgamization indicated <br />on the employee's authorization. <br /> <br /> Section 3- That this ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />am emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council and approval by the Mayer, it shall <br />take effect and be in force on January l, 196©. <br /> <br />Adopted:. <br /> <br />December,,2~,,, 1959 <br /> <br />Thomas C.
