Except as provided for in items B and C above, parking <br />or standing a vehicle in the off-street parking lot <br />south of Detroit Avenue, locate~ on the east and west <br />sides of Warren Road, shall be lawfml for a maximum of <br />ten hours parking per day, upon the payment ef five <br />cents for each hour, and fraction thereof, of parking. <br /> <br />Parking er standing a vehicle in all other lots, for <br />which a rate is not provided in this ordinance, shall <br />be lawfml for~ <br /> <br />Two hours upon the deposit of five cents <br />Four hours upon the deposit of ten cents <br />Six hours upon the deposit of fifteen cents <br />Eight hours upon the deposit of twenty cents <br />Ten hours upon the deposit of twenty-five cents. <br /> <br />Provided, however, that the Director ef Public Safety is <br />hereby authorized to establish portions of all off- <br />street parking areas, exclusive of the areas mentioned <br />in item A above, as twelve minute parking areas; in <br />smch twelve minute parking areas, parking shall be law- <br />ful ~pon the deposit of a one cent coin of the United <br />States into a meter serf or each such space. <br /> <br />Said parking meters shall be operated in such off-street <br />parking areas every day between the hottrs of 8~OO A.M. <br />and 6:00 P.N., except Sundays and holidays; provided, <br />however, that within the meaning ef this chapter' the <br />term holiday shall inclmde the following days only: <br /> <br />The first day of January <br />The thirtieth day of May <br />The fourth day of Jmly <br />The first Nonday in September <br />The twenty-fifth day of December <br />and the day designated and set aside by the President of <br /> the ~ited States as a day ef Thanksgiving. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, and Section 755.03 of <br />the Traffic Gode of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakeweod, <br />in effect immediately prior te the adoption of this ordinance, shall <br />be and is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted~. <br /> <br />December 21, 19~9 <br /> <br />Thomas ~.
