Cain. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Messrs <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />11-65 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO <br /> <br />é, <br />,. <br />I \ ~ ,) <br />\\ <br /> <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to repeal existing <br />Ordinance No. 37-64 relating to longevity compensation <br />and to enact a new ordinance relating thereto. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now therefore, <br /> <br />IT ORDAINED BY TaE COUNCIL OF THg CITY OF <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />BE <br />LA1<EWOOD, <br /> <br />Definition <br /> <br />"FULL TIME PERMANENT EMPLOYEES: as used <br />in this ordinance shall exclude elected <br />officials, directors of departments and ) <br />hospital employees, and shall be those <br />defined in Section 143.01 (e) and 143.14(a) <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br />Section 1 <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />"YEAR" as used in this ordinance shall mean <br />the period running from any date on the <br />calendar year to the corresponding date <br />on the calendar for the next succeeding <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />year <br /> <br />Section 2. Full-time permanent employees of the <br />City of Lakewood shall be paid, in addition to such salary <br />or compensation that may be provided by any other ordinance, <br />additional compensation based on the number of continuous <br />full years of service, including interim military service, <br />as d.etermined on the dates of June 15th and December 15th <br />of each year in ?ccordance with the following schedule: <br /> <br />00 <br /> <br />00 <br />00 <br /> <br />50 <br /> <br />75 <br />100 <br /> <br />$ <br /> <br />(9) <br /> <br />through nine <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />fourteen <br /> <br />for five <br />yea·rs of <br />fqr ten ( years through <br />(14) years of service <br />for fifteen (15) years <br /> <br />(5) years <br />service <br />10) <br /> <br />(a) <br />(b) <br />(c <br /> <br />longer <br /> <br />Seçtion 3. An employee terminating his employment v <br />on a date which falls between determination dates as set <br />forth in section 2, shall receive that portion of longevity <br />compensation to which he is entitled on a pro rata basis <br />up to the date of termination <br /> <br />or <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 4.
