ORDINANCE NO. 58-65 BY: Messrs. Usher, Ward, Wendling, Bennett, Cain, Gaydos, Huffman. AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to enact new Section 731.011 of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to the operation of a motor vehicle while the operator's license has been suspended or revoked. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the imme~ate preservation of the public peace and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 10 That the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood be and the same is hereby supplemented by enacting a new Section 731o011 to read as follows: Section 731o011 Driving Vehicle When License Suspended or Revoked No person whose opera-tot's or chauffeur's license or non-resident's operating privilege has been suspended or revoked by any court of record or other legally constituted authority shall drive any motor vehicle upon any street in the City of Lakewood while such license is suspended or revoked, nor shall any person knowingly authorize or permit any vehicle owned by him or under his control to be driven upon any street in the City of Lakewood by any person whose operator's or chauffeur's license or non-resident's operating privilege has been sus- pended or revoked. Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
