ORDINANCE NOo 77-65 ~BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Usher, Ward, <br /> Wendting, Bennett, <br /> Cain. <br /> AN EF~ERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the settlement <br />of the~m~.claimof Loren Ko Barnett, in the total amount <br />of $128.50, arising out of an incident when members of the <br />Refuse Department of the City of Lakewood removed from his <br />premises eleven antique school desks. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of a muni- <br />cipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF 'OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1o That settlement of the claim of <br /> Loren Ko Barnett in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Eight <br /> Dollars and Fifty Cents ($128.50) is hereby ordered and <br /> authorized, conditioned upon the execution and delivery by <br /> Loren K. Barnett of a full release in favor of the City <br /> of Lakewood, duly approved by the Director of Law. <br /> <br /> Section 2o That the DirectOr of Finance be and he <br /> is hereby authorized to pay the sum of One Hundred Twenty- <br /> Eight Dollars and Fifty Cents ($128.50) to Loren Ko Barnett <br /> upon delivery to the Director of Finance of the foregoing <br /> release duly executed and approved; and to charge the same <br /> to the General Fund - Damages paid by the City. <br /> <br /> Sectioh 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre- <br />amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:_0ctober 18, 1965~ <br /> ....
