ORDINANCE NO. 55-66 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Cain, Gaydos, Huffman, <br />Kelley, Usher, Ward & Weudling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating additional <br />positions in the Division of police and amending Ordinance <br />No. 10-66 adopted on February 7, 1966, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department in that in the interest of public service, welfare <br />and safety, it is necessary to establish additional positions; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The number of detectives in the Division <br />of Police is hereby increased to eight (8) and the number of <br />patrolmen is hereby reduced to fifty-four <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pre-' <br />amble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and <br />approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 10-66, adopted <br />February 7, 1966, shall be and is hereby amended accordingly. <br /> <br />Adopted: ...
