In the Division of Fire, Department of Public Safety, <br />Group I firemen shall consist of firemen who have continuously served in <br />the Division of Fire two (2) full years or who, in the judgment of the <br />Director of Public Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired <br />experience in the ~ivision of fire in some other city. Group 2 firemen <br />shall consist of firemen who have served continuously in the Division of Fire <br />for more than one (1) year b~t~ less than two (2) years. Group. 3 firemen <br />shall consist of firemen who have served in the Division of Fire for less <br />than one (1)year. Provided, however, that there shall be no increase in <br />salary to a fireman by reason of said grouping until certified by the <br />Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 3. In the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, <br />Group 1 patrolmen shall consist of patrolmen who have continuously served in <br />the Division of Police two (2) full years or who, in the Judgment of the <br />Director of Public Safety, have acquired equlvalent training and acquired <br />experience in the division of police in some other city~ Group 2 patrolmen <br />shall consist of patrolmen who have served continuously in the Division of <br />Police for more than one (1) year but less than two (2) years. Group 3 <br />patrolmen shall consist of patrolmen who have served in the Division of <br />Police for less than one (1) year. Provided, however, that there shall be <br />no increase in salary to any employee by reason of the said grouping until <br />certified by the Director of ~ublic Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 4~ Salary of the Director of Law shall cover all ordinary <br />services, including legal advice and opinions aS requested by Council, the <br />Mayor, and the various departments, the drafting of ordinances and resolu- <br />tions, attendance at Council meetings and the administration and supervisig~ <br />of the Law Department. The Law Director shall receive additional professional <br />fees for the handling of any litigation involving the City of' Lakewood, or <br />other extraordinary services, such fees not to exceed the minimum fees pre~ <br />scribed by the minimum fee schedule of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association. <br /> <br /> <br />
