ORDINANCE: 69-66 BY: Huffman, Kelley, Usher, ~ard, <br /> Wendling, Caia and Gaydo~ <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating positions of and fixing salaries for school cross- <br />ing guar¢:s and repealing Ordinance No. 18-60, adopted April 18, 196C, and all <br />other ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br /> WHEPEAS, an emergency exists in that it is deemed necessary by this <br />Council in the interest of public service, welfare and safety thst the position <br />of and the compensation of school crossing guards be established, and in that <br />this ordinance provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> BE IT OP~AINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I~WOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the rate of compensation of all persons employed as <br /> school crossing guards be and the same are hereby established as follows: <br /> <br /> i) Persons with less than one year of continuous service as school <br /> crossiflg guards. <br /> <br /> a) For duty during both morning and afternoon school sessions in <br /> any one day, $8.00. <br /> <br /> b) For duty daring either the morning or afternoon school sessions <br /> in any one day, $4.C0. <br /> c) For any duty in any day in excess of that provided in a) hereof, <br /> or for any duty in any one day less than that provided in b) <br /> hereof, $2;00. <br /> <br /> 2) Persons with one or more years of continuous service as school <br /> crossing guards. <br /> <br /> a) For duty (luring both morning and afternoon scheol se~io~s in <br /> any one day, $10.00. <br /> <br /> b) For duty during either the morning or afternoon school sessions <br /> in any one day, $5.00. <br /> c) For any duty in any one day in excess of that provided in a) <br /> hereof, or for any duty in any one day less than that provided <br /> in b) hereof, $2.00. <br /> Section 2. Ail compensation shall be payable in equal installments <br /> avery t~m weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
