Cain, Gaydos, <br /> ~uzzman, Kelley, Usher, <br /> Ward, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />Detroit Alley in the City of Lakewood, <br />larly described. <br /> <br />to vacate a portion of <br />hereinafter more particu- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On the 3rd day of January, 1967, the <br />Council of the City of Lakewood adopted Resolution NOo 4530, <br />declaring its intention to vacate a portion of Detroit Alley, <br /> <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Notice of the adoption of the above <br />Resolution No. 4530 has been served upon the owners of all the <br />property abutting upon that portion of Detroit Alley affected by <br />said resolution, notifying the said property owners of the time <br />and place at which objections can be heard before the Board of <br />Revision of Assessments, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On the 16th day of January, 1967, the <br />Board of Revision approved the vacation of the portion of Detroit <br />Alley, hereinafter more particularly described, in accordance with <br />the provisions of Article XIV, Section 28 of the Amended Charter <br />of the City of Lakewood, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council is satisfied that there is <br />good cause for vacating said portion of Detroit Alley and that it <br />will not be detrimental to the general interest and ought to be <br />made, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual da ily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CItY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the following described portion of <br />Detroit Alley be and the same is hereby vacated: <br /> <br />Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga, <br />State of Ohio, being part of Original Rockport Township <br />Section Noo 23 and being a strip of land 12 feet in <br />width extending from Graber Drive easterly to the Easterly <br />line of the Scenic Park Allotment as recorded in Volume <br />28, page 7 of Cuyahoga County Map Records, known as Detroit <br />Alley, and further described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Sublot No. 1 in <br />the Scenic Park Allotment recorded as aforesaid, which <br />point is in the easterly line of Graber Drive 50 feet wide <br />(formerly Riverside Drive) distant 125 feet southerly from <br />the South line of Detroit Avenue 66 feet wide. <br /> <br />Thence from said place of beginning Easterly along the <br />south line of said Sublot No. 1 and its. extension easterly <br />114o62 feet to the easterly line of said Scenic Park <br />Allotment. <br /> <br />Thence South along said easterly line 12 feet to the north- <br />east corner of Sublot No. 2. <br /> <br />Thence Westerly along the north line of Sublot NOo 2 <br />114.43 feet to the Easterly line of Graber Drive. <br /> <br />Thence Northerly along the Easterly line of Graber Drive <br />12 feet to the place of Beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
