ORDINANCE NO. 13-67 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Cain, Gaydos, Huffman~ <br /> Kelley, Usher, Ward and Wendltng. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing settlement of <br />the claim of Helen M. Burton in the total amount of Two <br />Hundred Dollars ($200.00), arising from a fall on Robinwood <br />Avenue in the City of Lakewood, Ohio, on July 22, 1963. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />in that it may save the city from further expense and a <br />possible substantial jury verdict rendered against the City <br />and in that it provides for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That settlement of the claim of <br />Helen M. Burton, in the amount of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) <br />is hereby ordered and authorized, conditioned upon the <br />execution and delivery by Helen M. Burton of a full release <br />in favor of the City of Lakewood, duly approved by the <br />Director of Law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he <br />is hereby authorized to pay the sum of Two Hundred Dollars <br />($200.00) to Helen M. Burton upon delivery to the Director <br />of Finance of the foregoing release duly executed and approved; <br />and to charge the same to the General Fund - Damages paid by <br />City. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the <br />preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all menfoers elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />April 1,7, 1967 <br /> <br />Charles S.
