Gaydos, Huffman, K~llcy, <br /> Usher, Ward, Wcndling <br /> Cain <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Sections 773.02, 773.04, <br />773.05, 773.06(a), 773.08(a), 773.08(b), 773.08(d), 773.08(e), <br />773.11, 773.12 and 773.15(d), inclusive, of the Traffic Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate protection of the public health and <br />safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY TH~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 773.02 of the T~affic Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now'reading as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 773.02 Bicycle Defined <br /> <br />"Bicycle is hereby defined as a two-wheeled vehicle, pro- <br />pelled with human power, having tandem arrangement of Wheels <br />equipped with tires either of which is over twenty inches <br />in diameter." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended %0 read as follows: <br /> <br />Section~?73.02 Bicycle Defined <br /> <br />Bicycle is hereby defined as a two-wheeled vehicle, pro- <br />pelled with human power, hawing tandem arrangement of wheels <br />equipped with tires either of which is sixteen inches or over <br />in diameter. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Section 773.04 of the Traffic Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as. follows: <br /> <br />Section 773.04 License Required <br /> <br />"No person, who resides within this community, shall ride <br />or propel a bicycle upon any sidewalk, street, public <br />path or public way set aside for the exclusive use of <br />bicycles unless such bicycle has been licensed by the <br />Chief of Police of this community and the license plate <br />is attached thereto as provided herein. <br /> <br />This provision shall not apply,to amy bicycles in t~ransit <br />within the corporate limits of the municipality; provided <br />that such bicycles have been r~gistered in some other <br />municipality in accordance wi{h the terms of an ordinance <br />similar to the foregoing if such exists, or if the owner <br />is a resident of another community." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 773.04 License Required <br /> <br />No person, who resides within this community, shall ride <br />or propel a bicycle upon any sidewalk, street, public <br />path or public way set aside for the exclusive use of <br /> <br /> <br />
