- 2 - <br /> <br />Laborers - Class A <br />Laborers - Class B <br />Charwomen <br />Laborers - Class C <br />Laborer - Student <br />Clerical - Student <br /> <br />2.79 per hour <br />2.39 <br />2.10 <br />2.I0 <br />1.85 <br />1.70 <br /> <br /> Section 2. An employee holding a position in any of the above <br />classifications may from time to time be assigned to work in a higher <br />classification, and such employee shall receive for such temporary work <br />the compensation provided herein for such higher classification. Such <br />additional compensation shall not be paid to Building Maintenance Men, <br />whose hourly rate includes performance of all work assigned. <br /> Section 3. Whenever the terms "Class AD" "Class B" and "Class C" <br />are used in this ordinance, such classifications shall be determined by <br />the appointing authority on the basis of experience and performance. <br /> Section 4. The Director of Public Works may appoint such addi- <br />tional hourly employees in the several divisio[~ as may be required fram <br />time to time on a temporary basis~ at th~ rate of compensation fixed <br />herein for said classification. Provided, however, that such temporary <br />employees provided for herein, shell he classed as temporary and shall <br />not be eligible for the benefits provided in Sections 143.01 to 143.08, <br />both inclusiYe~ of the Codified Ordinances, for full-time per~anent <br />hourly employees. <br /> <br /> Section 5. All compensation provided for herein shall be paid <br /> in equal installments every two weeks. <br /> <br /> Section 6. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof~ and pro- <br /> vided it receives the alfir~ative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council~ it shall take ef~ec~ and be in force irm~ediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 67-66 <br /> adopted October 3~ 1966 and el~. other ordinances or parts of ordinances <br /> inconsistent here with shall be and are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted: August 22,. 1967 <br /> <br />Charles S.
