ORDINANCE NO. 52-67 BY: Messrs. Usher, Ward, Wendling, <br /> Gaydos, Huffman, Kelley <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to provide for the payment by the City of <br />Lakewood of certain sums toward each full-time employee's hospitalization <br />coverage. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City <br />to provide for this participation in the medical and hospital protection plans <br />of the City employees, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIl. OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. For the purposes of this ordinance a full-time City <br />employee shall be defined as all employees of Lakewood Municipal Court and <br />all employees of the City of Lakewood except employees of Lakewood Hospital, <br />part-time employees, and seasonal employees. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out <br />of City funds up to Ten Dollars ($10.00) per month toward hospitalization <br />coverage of each full-time City employee in the Divisions of Police and Fire, <br />payable monthly or semi-annually at the discretion of the Director of Finance. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out <br />of City funds up to Twenty-two Dollars ($22.00) per month toward hospital <br />coverage of all other full-time City employees, payable monthly or semi- <br />annually, at the discretion of the Director of Finance. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The payment by the City of Lakewood shall be from the <br />following ~nds: <br /> <br />a) Seventy-five per cent (75%) thereof from the General Fund. <br /> <br />b) Thirteen per cent (13%) thereof from the Street Construction, <br /> Maintenance and Repair Fund. <br /> <br />c) Five per cent (5%) thereof from the Sewage Disposal Operating <br /> Fund. <br /> <br />d) Six per cent (6%) Thereof from the Water Department Fund. <br /> <br />e) One per cent (1%) thereof from the Parking Meter Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 5. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force i~mnediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor, and Ordinance 12-66 adopted February 21, 1966 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />AUG <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
