ORDINANCE NO. 53-67 BY: Messrs. Wendling, Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Kelley, Usher, Ward <br /> <br /> AN Eb~RGENCY ORDINANCE to repeal existing Ordinance No. 11-65 <br />relating to longevity compensation and to enact a new ordinance relating <br />thereto. <br /> <br /> WI~REAS, Tills ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; n~ therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY T/~E COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Definition. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />"FULL TI~ PERMANENT EHPLOYEES" as used in this ordinance <br />shall exclude elected officials, directors of departments and <br />hospital employees, and shall be t!~ose defined in Section <br />143.01 (e) and 143.14 (a) of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />"YEAR" as used in this ordinance shall mean the period running <br />from any date on the calendar year to the corresponding date <br />on the calendar for the next succeeding year. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Full-time permanent employees of the Divisions of Police <br />and Fire of the City of Lakewood shall be paid, in addition to such salary <br />or compensation that may be provided by any other ordinance, additional <br />compensation based on the number of continuous full years of service, in- <br />cluding interim military service, as determined on the dates of June 15th <br />and December 15th of each year in accordance wi~h thc following schedule: <br /> <br />(a) for five (5) years through nine (9) lears <br /> of service $ 50.00 <br />(b) for ten (10) years through fourteen (14) <br /> years of service 75.00 <br />(c) for fifteen (15) years or longer 100.00 <br /> <br /> Section 3. Ail other full-time permanent employees of the City of <br />LaRewood shall be poid, in addition to such salary or compensation that may <br />be provided by any other ordinance, additional compensation based on the <br />number of conti~,~ous full years of ser'~ica, including interim military service, <br />as determined on thc dates of June 15th and December 15th of each year in <br />accordance with the following schedule: <br /> <br /> (a) for five (5) years through nine (9) years <br /> of service $ 75.00 <br /> (b) for ten (10) years through fourteen (14) <br /> years of service 100.00 <br /> (¢) for fifteen (15) years throngh nineteen <br /> (19) years 125.00 <br /> (d) for twenty (20) years or more 150.00 <br /> <br /> Section 4.
