GaydoSl Gzaber, Huffman, <br />KelLey, Usher~ Ward: Wendting <br /> <br /> AN E.~i~RGZNCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 143.031 of <br />the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City <br />of · Lakewoo ~.. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thi~ ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE 2T ORDAINED BY TPI~COUNCII, OF TR]E C~T¥ OF I2~KEWOOD, <br />STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section !~3.031 of 'the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now <br />reading az follows: <br /> <br />Section 143.031 Overtime - emergency $~tuations <br /> <br />"That an houriy employee who is required by his superior <br /> to return to work after the completion of his regular <br /> working hcur~, or tc come to work on a day on which he <br /> is not otherwise required to work, shall be compensated <br /> ..... as.t two houzs, at the regular time .pay, or at <br /> overtime pay if ',~ ~, <br /> applz~a~,.~le for time worked, which- <br /> ever is greater, if such work is pez'formed during a work <br /> week, and at overLi:,~e pay if performed on Saturday or Sunday, <br /> or on a holiday as defined in Section 143.06 of the Codifie~:. <br /> Ordinances cf t!'~e Cit~-3f La~.ewood." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 143.0%! O~ertime - Emergency situations <br /> <br />Tha~ an 'hourly employee who is required by his superior <br />to return to work afeer the completion of his regular <br />working hours, or to come to work on a day on which he is <br />not otherwise required to work, s'hall be compenmated for <br />at least 'Cwo (2) hours work computed at the overtime rate of <br />pay. <br /> <br /> Section 2. ~'~at this ordinance is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency meas'[~re for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />hereof and p~ovided Jt receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council and is approved by the Mayor, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately. <br /> <br />Adopted: March 18., i968 <br /> <br />Robert E.
