ORDINANCE NO.~5-68 <br /> <br />BY:Messrs. Grabev, I[elley, <br /> Ward, USher: Gaydos <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 769.08b of the Business <br />Regulation Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood <br />relating to taxicab fare rates in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 769.08b of the Business <br />Regulation Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, <br />now reading as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 769.08 <br /> "(b) ~0~_rl¥ and. F.lat Rate. Taxicabs may accept <br /> employment whereby the fare is to be computed on an <br /> hourly rental basis or upon a flat rate of seventy- <br /> five cents (75¢) for any ride within the City, and <br /> no charge for additional passengers, except where an <br /> additional stop is made, When a charge of ten cents <br /> (10¢) for each stop may be made. Taxicabs employed <br /> on the hourly basis shall operate within the City <br /> upon the following schedule of rates: not less than <br /> two dollars and ten cents ($2.10) per hour or fraction <br /> thereof for the first hour, nor more than four dollars <br /> and twenty cents ($4.2G) per hour, provided that <br /> charges for use in excess of one hour shall be on the <br /> basis of one-sixth of an hour fractions of the rate <br /> charged for the first full hour." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 769.08 <br /> <br />(b) Hourly and Flat Rate. Taxicabs may.accept <br />employment whereby the fare is to be computed on an <br />hourly rental basis or upon a flat rate of one dollar <br />($i.00) for any ride within the City, and no charge <br />for additional passengers, except where an additional <br />stop is made, when a charge of ten cents (10¢) for <br />each stop may be made. Taxicabs employed on the <br />hourly basis shall operate within the City upon the <br />following schedule of rates: not less than two <br />dollars and ten cents ($2.10) per hour or fraction <br />thereof for the first hour, nor more than four dollars <br />and twenty cents ($4.20) per hour, provided that <br />charges for use in excess of one hour shall be on the <br />basis of one-sixth of an hour fractions of the rate <br />charged for the first full hour. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
