ORDINANCE NO. 53-68 BY: Messrs. Usher, Ward, Wendling, Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, Kelley AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE providing for the sale of certain real property located west of 14603 Detroit Avenue and known as 14615 Detroit Avenue in the City of Lakewood~ Ohio. WHEREAS, The said real property (hereinafter described in the body of the agreement) owned by the city of Lakewood, is no longer needed for any municipal purposes, and~ WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Lakewood that the said real property be sold, and, WHEREAS, The Board of Control'of the City of Lakewood has directed that said real property be sold, and, WHEREAS~ This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health,. safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation of a muni- cipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That it is hereby determined that the real property described in the agreement set forth herein is no longer needed for municipal purposes. Section 2. This Council hereby authorizes the sale of said land to the Second Federal Savings and Loan Association of Cleveland, a corporation, and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, a contract for the sale of said property~ in substantially the following form: AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT made and concluded at LakewoOd, Ohio, this .~ _day of ...... , 1968, by and between the City of Lakewood, whose mailing address is 12650 Detroit Avenue~ Lakewood~ Ohio~ hereinafter called the "VENDOR" and the Second Federal Savings and Loan Association of Cleveland, a corporation, whose mailing address is 333 Euclid Avenue~ Cleveland, Ohio, herein- after called the "VENDEE." WITNESSETH: That in consideration of the mutual promises of the parties herein contained, the VENDOR agrees to sell and convey and the VENDEE agrees to purchase and pay for, upon and under the provisions, terms and conditions herein expressed, the following described premises situated in the City of Lakewood~ County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio~ being part of Original Rockport Township Section No. 22 and further described as follows: Beginning in the Southerly line of Detroit Avenue (as widened 10 feet) at its intersection with the Westerly line of Belle Avenue Allotment as recorded in Volume 41,
