ORDINANCE NO. 59-68 BY: Messrs. Ward, Wendli~g, Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, Kelley, Usher AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE.to supplement the 'Streets and Public Services Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood by enacting new Section 911.03, relating to the establishment of rates for use of the brush incinerator. WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency meas- ure providing for the usual daily operation of municipal depart- ments and for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and welfare; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Streets and Public Services Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood be and the same is hereby supplemented by enacting new Section 911.03 to read as follows: Section 911.03 Brush Incinerator Charges Residents of the City wh© bring wood or wood materials arising out of the use of their places of residence, to the Lakewood Brush Incinerator in their own vehicles (not to exceed 1½ tons empty) may make use of the Brush Incinerator without charge. · A charge shall be made to all Others for all wood or wood materials brought to said Brush Incinerator at a rate fixed by the Director of Public Works in accordance with the following schedule: Minimum Charge': ~ Single axle truck up to 4 tons empty: Single axle truck over 4 tons empty: Tandem truck up to 8 tons empty: Tandem truck over 8 tons empty: $ 2.50 to $ 5.00 $ 5.00 to $10.00 $10.00 to $15.00 $15.00 to $20.00 $20.00 to $25.00 Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and ~pproVal by the Mayor.
