In the Division of Fire, Department of Public Safety, <br />Group 1 firemen shall consist of firemen who have continuously served in <br />the Division of Fire two (2) full years or who, in the judgment of ~he <br />Director of Public Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired <br />experience in the Division of Fire in some other city. Group 2 firemen <br />shall consist of firemen who have served continuously in the Division of <br />Fire for more than one (1) year but less than two (2) years. Group 3 <br />firemen shall consist of firemen who have served in the Division of Fire <br />for less than one (1) year. Provided: however, that there shall be no <br />increase in salary to a firen%an by reason of said grouping until certified <br />by the Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 3. In the Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, <br />Group l patrolman shall consist of patrolmen who have continuously served <br />in the Division of Police two (2) full years or who, in the judgment of the <br />Director of Public Safety, have acquired equivalent training and acquired <br />experience in the DivisiOnof Police in some other city. Group 2 patrolmen <br />shall consist of patrolmen who have served continuously in the Division of <br />Police for more than one (1) year but less than two (2) years. Group 3 <br />patrolmen shall consist of patrolmen who have served in the Division of <br />Police for less than one (1) year. Provided, however, that there shall be <br />no increase in salary to any employee by reason of the said grouping until <br />certified by the Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 4. Salary of the Director of Law shall cover all ordinary <br />services, including legal advice and opinions as requested by Council, the <br />Mayor, and the various departments, the drafting of ordinances and resolu- <br />tions, attendance at Council meetings and the administration and supervision <br />of the Law Department. The Law Director shall receive additional profession- <br />al fees for the handling of any litigation involving the City of Lakewood,' <br />or other extraordinary services, such fees not to exceed the minimum fees <br />prescribed bytheminimumfee Schedule of theCuyahoga County Bar Association. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Whenever the term"Class A," "Class B," and "Class C" <br />is used in this ordinance, such classification shall be determined and fixed <br />by the appointing authority. <br /> <br /> Section 6. All compensation provided for herein shall be paid in <br />equal installments every two (2) weeks. <br /> <br /> <br />
