ORDINANCE NO. 69-68 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, Huffman, Helley, Usher, Ward, Wendlin~ AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE approving certain Change Orders in connection with the contract for the construction of the Lakewood Brush Incinerator° WHEREAS, Council has heretofore authorized the Director of Public Works to enter into an Agreement with the Associated Builders Corporation for the construction of the Lakewood Brush Incineratorv and~ WHEREAS, Under the terms of such Agreement, and in the construction of this facility, certain changes and additions were required, and, WHEREAS, The Council desires to take advantage of certain changes in Construction Agreement in order to improve design arrangements, and, WHEREAS, The completion of the building and function thereof is desirable at the earliest possible time, and, WHEREAS, The adoption of this Ordinance at the earliest possible time is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety and that it provides for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the following items be added to the total price of the contract hereinbefore entered into by the City with the Associated Builders Corporation with reference to the construction of the Lakewood Brush Incinerator, Lakewood, Ohio: 1. Additional spray jets in washing chambers 2. Copper flashing around the old chimney. 3. Additional damper to regulate the flow of air° ~4o Copper flashing above the furnace doors. 5. Platforms that were installed around the fan motors° TOTAL $ 90.00 200.00 250.00 240.00 1_~480.00 $2,260.00 Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to approve said additions and changes in said contract hereinbefore entered into by the City of Lakewood and the Associated Builders Corporation.
