ORDINANCE NO. 7-69 BY: Messrs. Graber, Huffman, Kelley, Usher, Wendling, Gaydos AN EMERGENCY' ORDINANCE to vacate a portion of Cannon Alley in the City of Lakewood, hereinafter more particularly described° t~,,= 16th day of Decen~ber~ 1968, t'k~e Council of the City of Lak-ewood adopted Resolution No. 4678, declaring its intention to vacate a portion of Cannon Alley, and~ WHEREAS, Notice of the adoption of the above Resolution NOo 4678 has been served upon the owners of all the property abutting Cannon Alley affected by said resolution, notifying t~. time and place at which the said propertY owners of ~b~eCtions can be heard before the Board of Revision of ASSessmentS, and~ WHEREAS, On the 16th day of ~anuary~ 1969, the Board of ReviSioh approved the vacation of a portiOn of Cannon Alley, hereinafter more particularly described° in accordance With the provisions of Article XIV~ Section 28 of the Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood, and, WHEREAS, This Council iS satisfied that there is good cause for vacating a portion of Cannon Alley and that it will not be detrimental to the general interest and ought to be made, and, WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- ment; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the following described property be and the same is hereby vacated: Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga~ State of Ohio, and known as being part of Original Rockport Township Section No. 23 and bounded and described as follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Sublot Number 8 and the westerly line of Cannon Alley 20 feet wide in the Northwood Park Subdivision as shown by the re- corded plat in Volume 29 of Maps, Page 27 of Cuyahoga County Records; Thence southerly along the westerly line of Cannon Alley a distance of 14o33 feet to the southerly line of said subdivision.; Thence westerly along the said southerly line a distance of 40 feet to the southwesterly corner of Cannon Alley, which point is 170o00 feet east of the center line of West Clifton Boulevard 100 feet wide; Thence northerly along the westerly line of Cannon Alley a distance of 14.30 feet to the northwesterly corner of Cannon Alley; Thence easterly along the northerly line of Cannon Alley a distance of 40 feet to the place of beginning, be the same more or less~ but subject to all legal highways.
