Graber, Huffman, Kelley, <br /> Usher, Wendling, Gaydos <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY' ORDINANCE to vacate a portion of Cannon <br />Alley in the City of Lakewood, hereinafter more particularly <br />described° <br /> <br /> t~,,= 16th day of Decen~ber~ 1968, t'k~e Council <br />of the City of Lak-ewood adopted Resolution No. 4678, declaring <br />its intention to vacate a portion of Cannon Alley, and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Notice of the adoption of the above Resolution <br />NOo 4678 has been served upon the owners of all the property <br />abutting Cannon Alley affected by said resolution, notifying <br /> t~. time and place at which <br />the said propertY owners of <br />~b~eCtions can be heard before the Board of Revision of <br />ASSessmentS, and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On the 16th day of ~anuary~ 1969, the Board of <br />ReviSioh approved the vacation of a portiOn of Cannon Alley, <br />hereinafter more particularly described° in accordance With the <br />provisions of Article XIV~ Section 28 of the Amended Charter <br />of the City of Lakewood, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This Council iS satisfied that there is good <br />cause for vacating a portion of Cannon Alley and that it will <br />not be detrimental to the general interest and ought to be <br />made, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the following described property be <br />and the same is hereby vacated: <br /> <br />Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga~ <br />State of Ohio, and known as being part of Original <br />Rockport Township Section No. 23 and bounded and <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Sublot Number <br />8 and the westerly line of Cannon Alley 20 feet wide <br />in the Northwood Park Subdivision as shown by the re- <br />corded plat in Volume 29 of Maps, Page 27 of Cuyahoga <br />County Records; <br /> <br />Thence southerly along the westerly line of Cannon Alley <br />a distance of 14o33 feet to the southerly line of said <br />subdivision.; <br /> <br />Thence westerly along the said southerly line a distance <br />of 40 feet to the southwesterly corner of Cannon Alley, <br />which point is 170o00 feet east of the center line of <br />West Clifton Boulevard 100 feet wide; <br /> <br />Thence northerly along the westerly line of Cannon Alley <br />a distance of 14.30 feet to the northwesterly corner of <br />Cannon Alley; <br /> <br />Thence easterly along the northerly line of Cannon Alley <br />a distance of 40 feet to the place of beginning, be the <br />same more or less~ but subject to all legal highways. <br /> <br /> <br />
