ORDINANCE NO o 47-69 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Kelley, Usher, Ward, <br /> Wendling, Gay.dos, Graber, lluffman <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.10 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood, relating to terms and conditions of employment by the <br />City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1'. That Section 149.10 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now <br />reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.10 <br /> <br />Holidays <br /> <br />"(a) Full time permanent hourly employees shall be granted <br />holidays with regular time pay, as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br /> <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Good Friday <br /> <br />Whenever any such holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding <br />Friday shall be regarded as the holiday. When any such <br />holiday falls on Sunday,-the Monday following shall be <br />regarded as the holiday, for all purposes of Sectiong <br />149.01 through 149.13. <br /> <br />(b) Nothing herein contained shall be construed to <br />prevent the City as employer from requiring any employee <br />to report for work or to work on any holiday, if necessary <br />by reason of emergency or to carry on essential municipal <br />functions." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.10 Holidays <br /> <br />(a) Full time permanent hourly employees and annual <br />salaried employees, except members of the Divisions of <br />Police and Fire, shall be granted holidays with regular <br />time pay, as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day Thanksgiving Day <br />Memorial Day Christmas Day <br />Independence Day Good Friday <br />Labor Day Employee's Birthday <br /> <br />Whenever any such holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding <br />Friday shall be regarded as the holiday and when any such <br />holiday falls on Sunday, the Monday following shall be <br />regarded as the holiday, for all purposes of Sections <br />149.01 through 149.13. <br /> <br /> <br />
