NANCE to amend Section 149.10 (a )of the Administrative Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, relating to the granting of <br />holidays with regular time pay to full time t~ourly employees and annual salaried <br />employees, except members of Division of Police and Fire. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, This ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for .the usual <br />daily operation of municipal departments, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 149.10 (a )of the Administrative Code of the Codified Or- <br />dinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.10(a) Holidays <br /> <br />"(a) Full-time permanent hourly employees and annual salaried <br /> employees, except members of the Divisions of Police and Fire, <br /> shall be granted holidays with regular time pay, as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br /> <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Good Friday <br />Employee's Birthday <br /> <br />Provided, however, no employee shall be compensated for <br />holiday pay unless he works or is a~ailable for work <br />on his full regularly scheduled work day next preceding <br />and nex~ following said holiday. <br /> <br />Whenever any such holiday falls on Saturday, the preced- <br />ing Friday shall be regarded as the holiday and when <br />any such ho]iday falls on Sunday, the Monday following <br />shall be regarded as the holiday, for all purposes of <br />Sections 149.01 through 149.13."' <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.10 (a) Holidays <br /> <br />(a) Full-time permanent hourly employees and annual <br />salaried employees, except members of the Divisions <br />of Police and Fire= shall be grated holidays with <br />regular time pay, as follows: <br /> <br />New Year's Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />President's Day <br /> <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Good Friday <br />Employee's Birthday <br /> <br />Provided, however, no employee shall be compensated for <br />holiday pay unless he works or is available for work on <br />his full regularly scheduled work da>, next preceding and <br />next following said holiday. <br /> <br />Whenever any such holiday falls on Saturday, thc~ preceding <br />Friday shall be regarded as the holiday and when any such <br />holiday falls on Sunday, the bh)nday following slmll <br />regarded as the holiday, for all purposes of Sections 149.01 <br />through 149.13. <br /> <br /> <br />
