ORDINANCE NO. 67-71 BY: Messrs. Graber, Huffman, .Kelley, <br /> Usher, Ward, Wendling, Gayd0s <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Sections 1779.02, 1779.03, 1779.04 and <br />1779.05 of the Sanitary Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the immediate protection of the public health, safety and welfare and for the usual <br />daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1779.02 of the ganitary Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />1779.02 ABATEMENT. <br />No owner, lessee or occupant of any premises in or upon which any <br />condition prohibited in Section 1779.01 exists, shall fail or. refuse <br />to abate the same within thirty days after being notified to do so, <br />as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 1779.02 ABATEMENT. <br /> No owner, lessee or occupant of any premises in mr upon which any <br /> condition prohibited in Section 1779.01 exists, shall fail or refuse <br /> to abate the same within seven days after being notified to do so, as <br /> hereinafter provided. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Section 1779.03 of the Sanitary Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now readin~ as. follows: <br /> <br />1779.03 NOTICE. <br />The notice referred to in Section 1779.02 shall be in writing, shall <br />bear the date of issuance and shall be siTned by the Commissioner of <br />Health or the Director of Public Safety or by a deputy of either. <br />Any such notice may be served by registered mail directed to the person <br />to be notified or by delivery to such person or to the premises affected <br />by it by an employee of the Division of Public Health or a member of the <br />Division of Police.
