Such additional compensation shall · not be paid to Building Maintenance Men, whose hourly rate includes performance of all work assigned. Section 3. I~enever the terms "Class A," "Class B" and "Class C" are used in this ordinance, such classifications shall be determined by the appointing authority on the basis of experience and performance. Section 4. The Director of Public Works may appoint such additional hourly employees in the several divisions as may be required from tim~ to time on a temporary basis, at the rate of compensation fixed herein for said classifica- tion. Provided, however, that such temporary employees provided for herein, shall be classed as temporary and shall not be eligible for the benefits provided in Sections 149.01 to 149.08) both inclusive, of the Codified Ordinances, for full-time permanent hourly employees. Section 5. Ail compensation provided for herein shall be paid in equal install- meats every two weeks. Section 6. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for. the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force, immediately upon its adoption and approval by Mayor, and Ordinance No. 7-71 adopted February 15, 1971, Ordinance No. 9-72 adopted February 7, 1972 and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shall be and aye hereby repealed.
