That existing Section 1775.08 of the Sanitary Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />"1775.08 COSTS OF CUTTING. <br /> <br />Upon failure of the owners, lessees, agents or tenants having charge <br />of such lands to comply with such notice within the period of time <br />stipulated, the Director of Public Safety, for and on behalf of Council, <br />shall cause such weeds to be cut and destroyed by the direct employment <br />of labor° Upon the performance of such labor, the Director of Public <br />Safety shall report to Council the cost thereof with respect to each <br />parcel of land, including the cost of the survey, the amount paid for <br />the performing of such labor, the fees of the officers who made the <br />service of the notice and return, and the cost of publication of <br />~otice, if any, together with a proper description of the premises. <br />Upon receipt of such report and approval thereof by Council, the <br />Director of Finance on behalf of Council shall make a return in <br />writing to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County of such charges which shall <br />be entered upon the tax duplicate of such County and be collected as <br />other taxes, all in accordance with Ohio R.C. 731.54." <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"1775.08 COSTS OF CUTTING. <br /> <br />Upon failure of the owners, lessees, agents or tenants having charge of <br />such lands to comply with such notice within the period of time stipulated, <br />the Director of Public Safety, shall cause such weeds to be cut and destroy- <br />ed by the direct employment of labor. Upon the performance of such labor, <br />and thereafter, upon the failure of the person having charge of said lands <br />to make payment of costs thereof within thirty (30) days after billing <br />by the City therefor as provided in Section 1775.06, the Director of <br />Public Safety shall report to Council the cost thereof with respect <br />to each parcel of land, including the amount paid for the performing of <br />such labor, the fees of the officers who made the service of the notice <br />and return and the cost of publication of notice, if any, together with <br />the proper description of the premises. Upon receipt of such report and <br />approval thereof by Council, the Director of Finance on behalf of Council <br />shall make a return in writing to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County of such <br />charges which shall be entered upon the tax duplicate of such County and <br />be collected as other taxes, all in accordance with Ohio R.C. 731.54." <br /> <br /> Section 5.
