(b) Hourly and Flat Rate. Taxicabs may accept employment <br /> whereby the fare is to be computed on an hourly rental <br /> basis or upon a flat rate of one dollar ($1.00) for any <br /> ride within the City, and no charge for additional pas- <br /> sengers, except where .an additional stop is made, when. <br /> a charge of t~ cents (10G) for each stop may be made. <br /> Taxicabs employed on the hourly basis shall operate within <br /> the City upon the following schedule of rates: not less <br /> than two dollars and ten cents ($2.10) per hour or fraction <br /> thereof for the first hour, nor more than four dollars and <br /> twenty.cents ($4.20) per hour, provided that charges for <br /> use in excess of one hour shall be on the basis of one-sixth <br /> of an hour fractions of the rate charged for the first full <br /> hour o - .- - <br /> <br />and the same are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 769 0s 0P ' <br /> <br />(a) Metered Rates. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />(¢) <br />(d) <br /> <br />For the 1st one sixth mile or fraction thereof $0.60. <br />For each succeeding one sixth mile or fraction thereof <br />$0.10. <br />For each additional passenger for the entire trip $0.25. <br />For each taxicab employed upon an hourly rate $6.00 <br />per hour. <br /> <br />For waiting time, as hereinafter defined, charges may be <br />made at the rate of not less than $4.20 per hour nor more <br />than $6.00 per hour. Waiting time is deemed to include the <br />t~me when the taxicab is not in motion, beginning at the <br />place of arrival to which it has been called, or the time <br />consumed while standing at the direction of the passenger. <br />No charge shall be made for time lost because of the in- <br />efficiency of the taxicab or its operator, or for time <br />consumed by premature response to the passenger's order. <br /> <br />HoUrly and Flat Rate. Taxicab may accept employment whereby the <br />fare is to be computed on an hourly rental basis or upon a <br />flat rate of one dollar and twenty cents for any ride within <br />the city. A charge of 25~ may be made for each additional <br />passenger. <br /> <br />Taxicabs employed on the hourly basis shall operate within <br />the city upon the following schedule of rates; not less than <br />$4.20 per hour or fraction thereof for the first hour, nor <br />more than $6.00 per hour, provided that charges for use in <br />excess of one hour shall be on the basis of one sixth of an <br />hour fractions of the rate charged for the 1st full hour. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and providing it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all merabers elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor and existing paragraphs (a) and (b) of Section 769.08 shall be and the <br />same are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />AdoPted: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
