On call-outs, when an employee is asked to report before the <br />normal starting time during a standard wprk week, he shall be compensated <br />at an additional rate of $.50 per hour up to a maximum of 10 hours in any <br />24-hour period. <br /> <br /> Section 3. An employee holding a position in any of the above classifications <br /> may from time to time be assigned to work in a higher classification, and <br /> such employee shall receive for such temporary work the compensation provided <br /> herein for such higher classification. Such additional compensation shall <br />,not be paid tO Building Maintenance Men, whose hourly rate includes perform- <br /> ance of all work assigned. <br /> <br />Section 4. Whenever' the terms "Class A," "Class B" and "Class C" are used <br />in this ordinance, such classifications shall be determined by the appointing <br />authority on the basis of experi.ence and performance. <br /> <br />Section 5. The Director of Public :.:orks may appoint such additional hourly <br />employees in the several divisions as may be required from time to time on a <br />temporary basis, at the rate of compensation fiXed herein for said classifica,- <br />tton. Provided, however, that such temporary employees provided for herein, <br />shall be classed as temporary and shall not be eligible for the benefits <br />provided in Sections 149.01 to 149.08, both inclusive, of the COdified Ordi- <br />nances, for full-time permanent hourly employees. <br /> <br />Section 6. Ail compensation provided for herein shall be paid in equal install- <br />ments every two weeks. <br /> <br />Section 7. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided, it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor, and Ordinance No. 20-72 adopted March 6, 1972, and all other ordinances <br />or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith shallbe and are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted:~..~-~_~.~- /, /~-~. · -~ ; ' -~ <br /> e <br /> <br /> cle <br /> <br /> <br />
