ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />9-73 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, <br /> Usher, Werner, Brockman, Grab <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149o15 of the Admifiistrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to payment by the <br />City of Lakewood of certain sums towards.employee% hospitalization coverage. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City <br />to provide for continued participation in the medical and hospital protection plans <br />of the City employees, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BEFIT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> SectiOn 1. That Section 149.15 of the Administrative Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of LakewoOd, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.15 CITY'S SHARE OF HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />For the purposes of this section, a City employee shall be defined <br />as any employee of Lakewood Municipal Court and any employee of the <br />City of Lakewood who has completed sixty days of continuous service <br />for the City, but shall exclude members of Council, employees of <br />Lakewood Hospital, temporary employees, seasonal employees, school <br />guards., and public works inspectors. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out of City <br />funds up to $43.94 per month toward hospitalization coverage for <br />each City employee, payable monthly or semiannually at the discretion <br />of the Director of Finance. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay out of City <br />funds.Twenty-Nine Cents (296) per month toward hospitalization <br />Coverage of dependent children ages Nineteen (19) through Twenty- <br />Three (23) of each City employee in accordance with rules and <br />regulations prescribed by the insurance carrier, payable monthly <br />or semiannually at the discretion of the Director of Finance. <br /> <br />(d)~ The payment by the City shall be from the following funds: <br /> <br />(1) Seventy-Five-percent from the General Fund. <br />(2) Thirteen percent from the Street Construction, Maintenance and <br /> Repair Fund. <br />(3) Five percent from the Sewage Disposal Operating Fund. <br />(4) Six percent from the Water Department Fund. <br />(5) One-half percent from the Parking Meter Fund. <br />(6) One-half percent from the Parking Garage Fund. <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> ~ SeCtion 149.15 C IT.
